This message is a reminder that Fedora 10 is nearing its end of life. I am going to try to also test the patch proposed at the forum thread and report here the results.
Launchpad couldn’t import bug from Red Hat Bugzilla. This bug was filed against a series that is no longer supported and so is being marked as Won’t Fix.

When the microscope is connected to a USB port, “dmesg” shows this line only: Comment on this change optional. The microscope shows up ubs this when typing “ls-usb”: Hi Jeremy, I’ve just tried to get the microscope working while running the latest release candidate of Ubuntu None, the status of the bug is updated manually. Will anybody have a look on this issue?
The next thing to try is the upstream kernel testing. That search also finds a couple other folks who are trying to get this web cam working under Linux, without success.

I have the following relevant software: The camera provides an embeded microphone too that is properly recognized and functioning under ubuntu 9. This web cam has a microphone and the iP chip supports microphones.
