Admittedly i am stubborn and hoping that it is possible to get up running on Linux. Boots fine with kernel 2. Problem booting with kernel 2. So I agree in this case people should file a new report. From what I can see, the Marvel; 88se is supported in newer kernels since and kernel 3. However, while using an earlier BIOS and kernel 3.

That looks like good news to me, but will it mean i have to do anything special on my clean install of Ubuntu or Debian? Yeah, I’ve got the same issue on that controller I can see this bug is marked as Incomplete, but I’m not sure exactly why.
