I found a fix, a few month ago, using a vista 64bits driver, which effectively solved the problem to install an old agfa s. We are however running into difficulties. Win7 x64 no longer includes the driver that Vista had, however I’ve found that the Vista driver works fine in Win7. Since the video card is virtual with XP Mode, I suspect the colors are limited and may not be acceptable for most photographers.

SCSI driver for Win7 pro 64 bits. Bob Collette’s gear list. I now have to try and find my Silverfast disc that I carefully file away ‘somewhere safe’ about 9 years ago.

If you can get the newer SCSI card to work with your scanner and Vista x64 drivers are available, I think that is the best route. At least that way I aca-2904 get some dynamic range from my scans.

Ava2-904, I am new here, but in need of the same driver. Just be sure that whatever model you get, it has a pin SCSI connector on the rear.

Your idea avx-2904 using a NAS is a good one. The resolution was never that marvellous, but it’s quite adequate for old slides and negs. Just what you are talking about. Win7 x64 no longer includes the driver that Vista had, however I’ve found that the Vista driver works fine in Win7.

The pin connector is sva-2904 high-density SCSI-2 connector, so you may either need to buy a different cable or an adapter to convert the “mini” to the normal “large” pin socket.

I have the same question 9. Does this sound right.? So if you have XP Pro installed with all your drivers, ava-22904 should be able to insert your Windows 7 installation over the top using the ‘Upgrade to Windows 7’ option presented when the old OS recognizes the new OS.
